My last assignment was to shoot a coffee estate in Chickmangalur. This was my second assignment in Chickmangalur and the place was beyond belief! It was cold, foggy and the sky, powder blue. The night sky was nothing like the one in the city. It was clear and star studded with the Venus so bright, reminding me of those days in college where I sat with friends by the fire and gazed at the stars for hours.
The client got us to stay at this real old British Club there. I loved the bar. It looks better than what you see here.
After counting a few hundred stars, we slept for 4 hours and rushed out early, as early as 4:30am. The estate was close to Kemmangundi. It was spread across 200 acres. Unfortunately I can't share the pictures here 'coz they aren't published yet. Will update when I can. Till then here is a glimpse of the place.
A canopy of tall silver oaks sheltered the coffee.
Oh! how I wish I could share some pics of the landscape around this place..The client is going to use them so I will have to wait before I share 'em.
We also got a chance to visit a 100 year old House surrounded by X acres of Coffee estate. This place has now been converted into a home stay.
The house!

Living!

Something blue, something Persian! I am going to look for a similar one! I think it's a must have!

We then stopped for lunch at the famous, much talked about golf course.
Our next stop was at Sakleshpur. It took us about 4hrs to reach the estate in Sakleshpur where I shot for about 30 mins before we headed to another old British club for dinner. Food was alright. There was a white cat which kinda freaked me out! Apart from that it was good.
